Classical education is language-focused and follows a specific three-part pattern: themind must be first supplied with facts and images, then given the logical tools for organizationof facts, and finally equipped to express conclusions. In the Classical Educationmodel, children learn best when information is presented chronologically and examinedsequentially through a four-year cycle of study.

What is PAideia?

The word PAideia (pie-day-uh) is a Greek word meaning “educating the whole.” We
seek to partner with parents in educating the whole student: academically, spiritually,
socially. We believe that all creation gives glory to the Creator; therefore all works of literature,
art, music and architecture are studied with Christian principles, more commonly
referred to as a Biblical Worldview.

Classical Education + PAideia = ?

When PAideia methodology and classical education is integrated, the product rendered is
a comprehensive and coherent system of study encompassing history, science, and literature.
Ultimately the student is prepared for any field of study because of an academic and
spiritual foundation built on Biblical truth, and God’s wisdom. (Luke 2:52)

PACES

Is a ministry to the home school community that offers professional educational services. It is directed by Dr. Ted and Johnnie K. Seago, an experienced home school family. Dr. Ted Seago has a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and Johnnie has a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, majoring in Teacher Education. PACES has been helping home school families educate their children in a Christ-honoring manner since 1989.

We Believe

In the One True God, creator of heaven and earth and in Jesus Christ, His only Son. That He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, was crucified, died, was buried and on the third day rose again from the dead. That He sits at the right hand of the Father, whence He will come to judge both the living and the dead.
That all of creation gives glory to the Creator therefore, works of literature, art, music and architecture are studied with Christian principles and philosophies as foundational doctorines.
That the child’s first and foremost teacher is his parents. The job of educating the child must always be a priority of the Christian parent. (Deuteronomy 6:7-8)
Our Goal

To partner with parents and bring quality academic, character excellence, spiritual training and Godly discipline to equip families to love, worship and serve the Lord with their whole heart.

For children to become life long learners, independent thinkers and responsible citizens.
